FO report: Summerfly

Well that went quickly. If you’re looking for a summer top that’s pretty, easy to make, comfy and flattering, well I’ve got it right here. And if you already knew about it, where the hell have you been? Why didn’t anybody TELL me about Summerfly?

Looking smug, and rightly so

I wanted a summer tank to take with us to the US, since by all accounts it was hotter than Satan’s jockstrap. This is everything you want in a summer tank. It’s easy to make and super flattering. There’s a panel of rib at each side, which significantly draws in the otherwise fairly casual fit of the top.

The cowl neck is not too over-the-top, which I appreciate, and the side seams maintain some structural integrity: I’ve been burned once too often by lovely drapey vegetable fibre yarns that stretch and stretch and stretch.

Pattern: Summerfly by Alisha Bright.
Yarn: Cascade yarns ultrafine cotton, in sweet, sweet black.

A fantastic top, cool and sexy and comfy. Love it.
