Green sprite: macro edition

Today’s post is brought to you by the macro setting on my camera.

This is Green Sprite, with such fine detail as you’ve never seen. Beautiful, yes?

It’s not just about the closeup, although I admit that’s a big part of the love. And it’s not just about having some photos that really capture the colour of the yarn; and it’s not just about the way the wood gives the emotional context that I’ve bestowed on this project.

It’s about picking up from a provisional cast-on and having it go better than it ever has before.

Aren’t they perfect? The white yarn is the provisional cast on, and the needle is, well, the needle.

And picking up the stitches was smooth, easy, satisfying…everything they say it should be.

We’re very happy.
