Dead air

Whoa, sorry about that lengthy pause!

M and I went to Tasmania!  Whoo! I did a lot of this:

Navigating and sock knitting are my two finest car-riding-in skills.

And even though I took my handy-dandy little Eee PC and my wireless modem, there was’t enough signal coverage for me to blog as we went.  We had an incredible time: it was beautiful, interesting, lovely and fun, and frankly, you can’t ask for more than that in a holiday.  If you’re ever thinking of a quick holiday in Australia, I can vouch for a drive around Tasmania.  You can cover a lot of ground in a short space of time and you can’t throw a champagne cork without hitting something beautiful, interesting, fun or delicious.

I win at holidays.

I win at holidays.

We drove around some wineries n the Tamar Valley, did some tastings, went on a tour to watch the Fairy Penguins come ashore at dusk in Bicheno, drove up to Burnie and bought some of their splendid cheeses, drove to Hobart and revelled in the waterfront — it was a wonderful, wonderful trip.
