Sorry? I wasn’t listening…

You’ll have to forgive me if I seem a little distracted at the moment. It’s not cooking, it’s not knitting, it might not even be that interesting unless you’re me or one of the many that have discovered World of Goo.  It’s awesome, cool and completely consuming.  Each level requires you to shuttle all the semi-sentient goo-balls into a pipe, and there are obstacles and traps as well as different kinds of goo with different special skills.  Man, I just re-read that sentence and it doesn’t even begin to convey how fantastic this game is.  It’s clever, funny and interesting; it’s beautiful, involved and the physics are to die for; it’s unique, intriguing and excellent. My knitting is laying around, untouched, ignored and ready for M to step on and impale his foot again, and the soup I was going to make for lunch tomorrow is now a pleasantly hazy daydream.

We won’t even touch on the fact that I’m tickled pink that someone is finally interested in porting their games for Linux AND Mac — even leaving that alone, this game is simply terrific. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I can squeeze in one last level before bedtime…I don’t want to finish this game too soon, but I’m pretty sure that if I don’t, this place won’t last long as a knitting blog.  I’m sure I’m not the first knitter to wish they had heaps of arms, so they could knit while doing other non-knitterly things.
